Abstract Submission Guidelines
Guidelines for submission

The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract should be typed in single spacing;
Font size: 11; Style: Times New Roman; A4 size paper.
- Simple tables and graphs may be included if they fit into one page along with the abstract text.
- Type the title in BOLD in capital letters.
- Make the abstracts as informative as possible. Conclusions must be supported by data.
Organise the body of the abstract as follows:
a) Objectives
b) Method
c) Results
d) Conclusions
- Author(s) and affiliation(s) should be indicated after the title of the abstract. Include last names and middle initials of the author(s). Do not include degrees and titles. Underline the name of the presenting author. Affiliation(s) should include only the name of the institution, city and state or country.
Mode of submission
- E-mail as a Microsoft Word attachment to: www.liver.org.my/liverupdate. Please provide all information
needed in the Abstract Submission Form of this announcement. (Subject: Abstract Submission)
- Colleagues who do not have e-mail addresses should:
1. Fill in the Abstract Submission Form and fit the contents of the abstract in the space provided, not exceeding
250 words.
2. Save abstract as a Microsoft Word document file and submit on a PC-compatible 3.5” disk along with a copy
of high-quality print-out of the abstract.
The Abstract Submission Form is included in this announcement. It can also be downloaded from the Congress
website at

Abstract submission checklist and important notes
- Include the full name, address, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address of the Presenting Author
- Complete the Abstract Submission Form as required. The form may be photocopied, downloaded from the
Congress website at www.liver.org.my/liverupdate or obtained from the Congress Secretariat.
- Abstracts must be submitted no later than
Kindly note:
Authors of abstracts accepted for presentation MUST be registered delegates and be responsible for all expenses
incurred in the production of their presentations, travel and accommodation during the Congress. Display boards
will be provided for poster sessions. We cannot guarantee that an abstract will be accepted for presentation in the
preferred format that the authors indicate. Those not selected for oral presentation will be given the option for a
poster presentation.
Notification of acceptance will be informed.
